My name is Harsh Patel, and I’m a 25-year-old clinical-year PA student with a passion for education, creativity, and healthcare.
Alongside my studies, I create content on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Apple Podcasts during my free time under "The Patel Perspective" and "Patel the PA" addressing multifaceted topics in self-improvement, career advice, and health & wellness.
My favorite topics and projects focus on fat loss, practical nutrition, self-development for short men, men's mental health, South Asian topics, and overall health and well-being.
With medical interests in Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery, I strive to balance my academic journey with creative storytelling and a commitment to inspiring others while preparing for a future of compassionate care.
I also enjoy exploring sports like powerlifting, cricket, and pickleball. Currently, I am trying to progress on powerlifting, planning to perform a meet sometime in a year or two.
Growing up I struggled with obesity, binge eating disorder, social anxiety, bullying, and poor academic success. I had to go through a tough childhood but I believed to bring a change.
I lost 65 pounds in a year by exercising and intermittent fasting every day. I became academically successful after my weight loss because I learned the values of discipline and consistency. However, I acquired mild bulimia nervosa during this time, and I still had social anxiety. I still had a lot of work to do.
College gave me an opportunity to be myself. I found things I loved and became good at it: weight training and neuroscience. I was getting better at managing my social anxiety through college because I started to engage with people who had similar interests.
I also started to create science content heavily on Instagram and Youtube.
I graduated college with magna cum laude in Neuroscience and Minors in Biology & Biochemistry. I dedicated my time researching addictions during college, and that gave me the ability to understand and improve my mental health issues. My social anxiety and bulimia were decreased greatly because of neuroscience, and in fact, my willingness for self-growth increased.
Using my undergraduate knowledge and experiences with mental health issues, I became serious about content creation. I developed a vision of helping as many people struggling with the issues I had growing up. I started podcasting which is dedicated to promote science, health, and improvement information to the people around the world.
After being on my self-development journey and starting PA School, I created a vision to help people who are struggling with personal and career problems. Through content creation, podcasting, and medical training, I aspire to improve people's life virtually and, hopefully in practice someday.
